DISC INSULATORS

Porcelain disc insulators are the most widely used in strings, they can be used for any voltage depending on the numberof units mounted in series for transmission and distribution lines.

Voltage & Mechanical Range

11kV-765kV. 40kN-300kN.

Standards

Porcelain suspension insulator complies with the standards of IEC60383 & ANSI C29.2.

Application

The insulators are designed to be suitable for different types of polluted zones and mechanical strength according to client's requrests. Life expectancy of these insulators are extremely high but may be adversely affected if operated beyond specified limits of electrical or mechanical stress.

LINE POST INSULATOR

Line post insulators are applied on medium voltage overhead distribution lines up to (72.5KV) for fixing conductors to tower bodies and used in the distribution systems of the town. Mechanical strength up to 12.5 KN.

1-Range of insulator includes line post with clamp top and stud base for both horizontal and vertical mounting. Conductor groove type line posts are supplied with short stud or long stud as required.

2- Highest quality wet process porcelain insulator have excellent electrical and mechanical characteristics. Metal parts are made of malleable iron or steel both galvanized as per ASTM specifications. Cementing operations are carried out under rigidly controlled conditions.

3- The insulators have stream-lined feature with symmetrical upper and lower electrodes which prevent accumulation of salt and dust and therefore have an excellent antipollution performance.

4- High arc resistibility similar to long rod insulators with little decrease in flashover voltage if a shed get damaged. Sufficient distance between electrodes makes these insulators puncture proof.

5- Owing to comparatively longer distance between upper and lower electrodes, the RIV is extremely low.

6- Color of insulator: brown glazed or light grey.

Standard

Tronco Electric line post insulators conforms to specifications of IEC 383 and ANSI-C29.7.

Application

Line post insulators up to 72.5kv can be used for construction of overhead lines at a cheaper cost but having the reliability of a line using suspension long rod insulator. It can be used as support for conductors on cross-arms of transmission and distribution line poles.

STATION POST INSULATOR

Tronco Electric provides the most comprehensive range of porcelain post insulators up to highest system voltages with the most progressive technology, engineering and life time. Short production time, tighter tolerances, flexible design, extra-high mechanical strength and extended creepage distances are possible by wet/dry process.

Voltage Range

IEC station post insulators manufacture in full accordance to IEC60273. Operating rod columns for disconnectors are manufactured corresponding to the relevant post insulators. Insulation requirements are available in ratings from BIL 60kV to>2550kV.

TR station post insulators manufacture in full accordance with ANSI C29.9. Insulation requirements are available in ratings from 95 kV to 2050 kV. Special requirements can be also offered upon request.

Standard

Tronco Electric post insulators conforms to specifications of IEC 60273 and ANSI-C29.9.

Application

The post insulator up to 500kV can be used for switchgears, disconnectors and substations.
