GLASS DISC INSULATOR

Toughened glass insulators produced by Shenyang Tronco Electric provide the highest level of performance and long-term security for high voltage insulation. 

STRUCTURE

Glass insulator consists of cast-iron cap, toughened glass body and pin which are agglutinated together by cement into an integrated piece. Cylindrical head has been adopted for insulators, which is the most advanced structure in the world with superiorities such as less dimension, lighter wieght, higher strength and longer creepage distance which can save metallic materials and reduce transmission line cost. 

Most High-voltage lines use ball & socket type toughened glass insulator, which is also called cap & pin. Cross-section is as below. Tongue & Clevis assembly is also used for glass disc insulator.
